Trainee Developer - Oxfordshire

Who will I be working for?

What will I be doing?

  • Analysing client requirements
  • Researching, designing and writing new data integration
  • Developing and maintaining existing data integrations
  • Creating technical specifications and documenting your code
  • Writing and testing code and then refining and rewriting as necessary
  • Writing and maintaining systems to control the scheduling of jobs
  • Writing operational documentation
  • Maintaining data integrations by monitoring and correcting defects
  • Working closely with other staff, such as Project Managers, Account Managers, other developers, Systems and Support
  • Consulting clients and colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of data integrations with a view to writing or modifying how it works currently (improvements)
  • Investigating new technologies
  • Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by reading manuals and testing new modules
  • To help the Systems team diagnose and manage issues
  • To maintain a good relationship between the Development team and the rest of the business
  • To provide a professional level of support and mentoring to 1st and 2nd line Support teams
  • To provide clients with support when a technical explanation is needed to help resolve a situation. Where relevant and as often as possible, take ownership of complex cases and see them through to completion by liaising directly with the client
