Senior Executive Assistant - Milton Park

What will I be doing?

You will be required to work as a key part of an administrative support team. Working as part of a team to provide comprehensive administrative assistance to a discrete functional group, and shared support for department and other site functions as needed.

You will be supporting international Seniors on UK business trips too on a frequent basis, liaising with their own EA's back in their country.

Duties will include:

  • Meeting organisation and general administration for specified Senior Research Leaders as required including diary and email management and administrative tasks, answering the telephone, travel and conference arrangements and dealing with their visitors and expenses.
  • Monthly ADP internal research talks - setting up WebEx, uploading Powerpoint presentation to LLC shared folder, booking meeting room
  • Prepare, research and edit reports and detailed presentations
  • Providing cover for Executive Assistance team as and when necessary and responding to requests from Directors and Executive Team members and collaborating with the Executive Assistant team based in the US.

What skills and experiences are required

Experience & Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 GSCE’s including English Language at Grade C or above.
  • Minimum of 3 year’s office experience.
  • IT Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and Outlook mail and calendar features.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and able to contribute as a key team player and work independently.
  • Must be reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious whilst displaying common sense and flexibility supporting senior staff.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to act in a professional manner and to maintain confidentiality and provide specified support in a fair and confident manner.
  • Excellent spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Approachable and able to establish good working relationships with staff at all levels in the company.
  • Ability to identify and resolve situations as they occur.
  • Ability to produce consistently accurate work whilst under pressure and to manage competing responsibilities


  • Qualifications: NVQ2/3 Business Administration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of databases using various packages.

What else do I need to know?

This role is based on Milton Park in modern offices with parking facilities.

The role is permanent and full-time 37.5 hours per week, regular working days Monday to Friday, flexibility in hours of duty may be required subject to operational requirements.
