Where will I be working?

What will I be doing?

Working within the content group, this role will contribute to the next phase of an exciting project, creating 500–1000 learning hours of content, building on a honed central architecture of ideas and processes developed in CBM's early years.

Reporting to the Content Manager, you will be responsible for writing learning materials within a given, newly defined, curriculum storyline. You will write static content for both students and teachers, and also provide specifications for interactive content, to be built by developers. As your experience grows you will potentially become involved in storyline creation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing student narrative material and assessments
  • Writing support material for teachers
  • Writing detailed specifications of interactive content to be developed
  • Sourcing or creating images and video content

What skills, qualifications & experience will I need?

The ideal candidate will have an interest in shaping the future of maths education and helping students to learn the content that will be applicable to their later careers.

A background in publishing or formal content authoring experience is not a requirement.

As a technically competent individual, you will be confident learning new ICT-based systems and possess an interest in learning the basics of programming. The ability to code is desirable but not essential.

Our ideal person will possess the following:

  • Degree educated in a STEM related discipline
  • Clear understanding of the process of maths
  • Keen to learn new skills and processes
  • Good communication skills, especially in the written English language

It is also desirable to have the following:

  • Experience of teaching or tutoring secondary mathematics
  • Familiarity within online learning tools
  • An appreciation of user experience and design

What else do I need to know?

This is a full time, permanent role based at our clients European Headquarters lovely rural offices near Witney/Oxford.

Salary will be based on experience.
